Ready for Tuscaloosa show # 1 of 2015 tour

We are here at the home of the renown “Crimson Tide”. The band is show ready as we wrapped up our final rehearsal yesterday. I have been toughing out some personal health related struggles including previous back injuries and an allergy to my hotel room. The band and crew have been especially kind, helpful and encouraging to me out here. I believe God has allowed me to be here for such a time as this. To tie in to my previous post, I am here trying to live out my purpose by walking in God’s will. This leads one to the question, what is God’s will for one life? The simplest answer is, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus“. (1 Thes. 5:16) This is starting line of the race, the prescription for the body mind and soul, the powering on the internal GPS for direction in ones life.

ENGAGE!

Here is my encouragement from the little green book today!

2015 Tour Journal Day One: The Journey Begins

2015 First Day of Production Rehearsals

I will attempt to journal this experience through personal thoughts and photos. I begin the day with the reminder of where I was in 2011 after being laid off two days before Christmas four kids and a wife who are counting on me to care for them. In my despair I remembered the words of Jesus… Do not worry, (Matt 5:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.)
Things began to turn around beyond what I could ever expect. I cannot exclude the generosity and humanity of people who are a big part of this equation, but for now they will remain nameless.
Which brings me to today’s thought and devotion. I want to begin this journey with a spirit of contentment by sharing this verse from my Bible Promises For You book Marybeth gave me for my birthday.
